Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-06
1. Agreement to these Terms
dbanalyst.ai ("dbanalyst," "we," "us") is operated by ThinkVidya Learning Pvt Ltd, a company based in Bangalore, India. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of dbanalyst.ai and any related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You accept these Terms every time you sign up for or sign in to the Service. If we make material changes, continuing to sign in after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. What the Service does
dbanalyst connects to a database you provide, uses AI to draft documentation of its schema (tables, columns, and relationships), and lets your team review and refine that documentation. Once documented, you can connect AI assistants (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) to ask questions about your database in plain English, subject to the access controls you configure.
The Service is currently offered as an early-access product. Features, availability, and pricing may change as it matures, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Early access is currently invitation- and approval-based; we may approve, decline, or revoke access at our discretion.
If you create an organization, you are responsible for the members you invite and the access levels (owner, editor, viewer) you grant them within that organization.
4. Your database and your data
You retain all ownership of your database, its contents, and any documentation, glossary terms, or metrics you or your team author in dbanalyst. You represent that you have all rights and consents necessary to connect a database to the Service and to allow it to be processed as described in our Privacy Policy — including any consents required from third parties whose personal data may exist in that database.
You are solely responsible for the credentials you provide, the schemas and permissions you grant the Service, and for reviewing AI-generated documentation before relying on it or publishing it to your team.
5. AI-generated content
Documentation, glossary entries, metric definitions, and answers produced by the Service are generated with the help of AI models and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. dbanalyst stages AI-generated changes for your review before they are published, but you are responsible for verifying accuracy before relying on this content for business, financial, or compliance decisions.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect a database you are not authorized to connect, or use the Service to access data you don't have rights to;
- Attempt to bypass the Service's read-only query enforcement or access controls, or use it to modify, delete, or exfiltrate data beyond its intended purpose;
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our prior written authorization;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or infringes a third party's rights.
7. Third-party AI assistants
When you connect a third-party AI assistant (for example, Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) to query your database through dbanalyst, that assistant is provided by a separate company under its own terms and privacy policy. dbanalyst executes the queries and returns results directly to the assistant you authorized; we are not responsible for how that third party subsequently handles the data it receives.
8. Fees
Early access to the Service is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will communicate applicable pricing and give you the opportunity to accept or decline before any charge applies to your account.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and disconnect your databases at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, we will delete or anonymize your account data in line with our Privacy Policy, except where we must retain it for legal or accounting reasons.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThinkVidya Learning Pvt Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or in-app notice) before they take effect.
